"Ex-stanadrt" is an organization managing TC 403 secretariat "Equipment for use in explosive atmospheres (Ex equipment)"

Main purpose:

Scientifically management and normative assistance (coordination) of organization, development and optimization of Russian service system in standardization and certification of electrical equipment for use in explosive atmospheres (with participation of Rostekhregulirovanie (RTR) of Russia, other federal interested ministries and agencies, as well as analytical research of science basis of forming guidelines and rules to promote further legislative initiatives and further practical adaptation of the relevant normative basis).

Field of activity:

- development and assistance in development (with participation of Rostekhregulirovanie (RTR)of Russia, other federal interested ministries and agencies) of the system of Russian national standards, technical regulations and legal certification systems and other normative documents in according to the specified purposes; participation in analytical special (including normative) research works; creation, optimum formation and unify development of progressive scientifically based standards and guidelines in a field of standardization and certification of electrical equipment for use in explosive atmospheres,

- participation in the international activity in a field of standardization, accreditation including participation in specialized activities and performance of the international programs and projects of authorized international governmental and non-governmental agencies (including profile and public foreign agency) to stimulate and to simplify the circulation of relevant experience and knowledge of unify international standards, guidelines and rules to Russian companies and enterprises; realization of cooperation and coordination with international agencies, intergovernmental agencies and bodies, which are responsible for application of relevant international conventions or agreements: International Electrotechnical commission (IEC), International electrotechnical commission scheme for certification to standards relating to equipment for use in explosive atmospheres (IECEx scheme), IEC System for Conformity Testing and Certification of Electrical Equipment (CB-FCS Scheme); European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization (CENELEC).
